The Knowledge, Library and Information Services for Health is a multi-disciplinary, multi-professional service, available to all staff and students working within the NHS primary and secondary care settings within the area covered by Doncaster Health Community area.

We aim to support the delivery of highest possible standards of patient care, assisting with service development, strategic decision making, education, training, lifelong learning and continuing professional development, research, evidence based practice and clinical governance.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team – to be responsible for the management, operation and delivery of clinical, education and recreation library services to NHS staff, students and patients. These services are delivered through the Medical & Professional and the Patients’ & Staff Libraries at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. Although based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, you will also be required to work across the health community to support service delivery and development.

The successful applicant should have experience of staff management and development and the procurement, management, classification and dissemination of print and electronic resources. You should also have extensive ICT skills, including knowledge of web and intranet technologies and must possess the knowledge and experience of managing and operating an automated library management system.

The postholder will report to the Knowledge, Library and Information Services Manager at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
