The Relate Institute offers a range of postgraduate level programmes in Relationship Therapy and Psychosexual Therapy, a Clinical Supervision Certificate, an undergraduate first level training in Couple Counselling, as well as a range of Continuing Professional Development courses in the field of Relationship Therapy.
As members of a small tutor team the post holders will share the teaching in High Melton, London and other venues as required by the relevant programme. Courses are taught both on weekdays and at weekends. Reasonable expenses incurred in the performance of duties will be claimable. Depending on the size of the cohort the post holders may be working alone or with another tutor.
The successful candidates will teach on Post-graduate and/or other practitioner training programmes and will participate in the Quality Assurance processes of the Relate Institute. They will also contribute to course development at the request of the Associate Director of the Relate Institute. Other duties will include marking, attending Module and Programme Boards and other committees at the request of the Associate Director of the Relate Institute.
Depending on the programme applicants should be qualified couple and/or family therapists, psychosexual therapists or hold a supervision qualification, and be qualified teachers at HE level. Successful candidates without a teaching qualification will be required to embark on a suitable teacher training programme on appointment. This programme may be available in-house at the University Centre Doncaster.
Contract hours would be discussed at interview and salary will depend on previous experience and qualifications.
