New Deal for Disabled People - Shaw Trust
Description
Shaw Trust supports thousands of disabled and disadvantaged people across the UK to achieve their personal development and employment aims. We do this through:
- Government-funded employment services to support people moving from benefits to work, with guidance on finding jobs, training and benefits
- Pre-employment activities in a supportive environment
- Work-related, accredited training
- Support for increased independence for disabled people
- Creating jobs through social enterprise
- Working in partnership with employers, local authorities and health trusts.

New Deal for Disabled People - Yes2Work
Description
Yes2work is a free job broking service for people who are out of work because of illness or disability. Yes2work has been set up to run according to Social Firm principles. It is, therefore, a 'not for profit' organisation that aims to employ a significant number of disabled people. This is in addition to helping people with disabilities or illnesses with employment problems generally.
New Deal for Disabled People - Fern Training and Development
Description
NDDP is a voluntary scheme that aims to help people on incapacity or disability benefit into full or part-time sustainable employment.
Our local Job Brokers will be available to provide confidential assistance and support. We will also help to prepare you for interviews and, once you have gained employment, provide ongoing support during the first six months of your job.
This service is free of charge to the participant and is tailored to meet individual needs. We will help all participants move into employment and improve their chances of gaining and sustaining their ideal job by enhancing and developing existing skills. In addition you may be entitled to a job grant of up to £200 once you start your new job.

New Deal for Communities
Description
New Deal for Communities (NDC) is a Government funded regeneration programme. There are 39 NDC partnerships in total across the country with the problems of each NDC area being unique. However all NDC's tackle five key themes:
- Crime
- Education
- Health
- Housing and the Environment
- Jobs, Training & Local Enterprise
Doncaster NDC has been allocated £52 million until 31st March 2011 to invest in the following five areas of Doncaster:
- Nether Hall
- Balby Bridge
- Hyde Park
- Hexthorpe
- Balby, Woodfield
The underlying strength of the scheme is that it has been shaped by community views and aspirations and is being delivered in partnership with key agencies.
