Transport Information
As a place to work, Doncaster offers excellent transport options. Formerly located around the Great North Road, Doncaster now nudges the A1(M) which a mere couple of miles or so to the South, joins the M18 which in turn, a few miles further on, merges with the M1 itself. To the North a few minutes drive away, is the M62 linking Liverpool to Hull. So Doncaster not only offers the choice of two great North / South auto routes to the Capital, but convenient motorway access to both West and East coasts.
Doncaster is also well served by public transport. National Coaches provide regular services to the London / Edinburgh route, while on British Rail's high speed train (Intercity 125), London can be reached in a matter of only 90 minutes with Intercity Trains running every half hour.
Local buses run frequently both within the town and to surrounding villages.
